The children’s series Pipo, produced by Undodez in collaboration with Televisión de Galicia, will form part of the programme of the 13th edition of Carballo Interplay, Galicia’s leading festival dedicated to digital creation, new audiovisual narratives and internet culture.

The screening will take place on Thursday, 16 April at 6:30 pm at Biblioteca Rego da Balsa, as part of the section aimed at younger audiences. The session is designed for children aged between 3 and 7 and will offer families the opportunity to discover the universe of this Galician animated production, which continues to strengthen its presence among children’s audiences.

Created by Laura Mahía and Andrés Mahía, Pipo tells the story of Berta, a six-year-old girl who one day discovers a small extraterrestrial visitor in the garden of her home. Living alongside this peculiar creature transforms her everyday life into a succession of adventures, discoveries and situations full of humour, imagination and learning.

The series’ inclusion in the festival marks another step in the journey of a production that in recent months has been receiving increasing recognition within the Galician audiovisual sector. Among these achievements is the Deleite Award for the promotion of the Galician language at the 24th Mestre Mateo Awards, as well as its recent selection as a finalist at the Celtic Media Festival 2026.

Its inclusion in the Carballo Interplay programme also reinforces the festival’s commitment to creating space for productions aimed at all audiences within an increasingly diverse programme. Held from 16 to 19 April in Carballo, the festival consolidates its position in this new edition as one of the major meeting points for contemporary digital creation, bringing together screenings, educational activities, live podcasts and encounters with creators from the digital ecosystem.

Pipo thus continues to add new exhibition platforms at a time of significant growth for children’s audiovisual content in Galician, bringing locally produced animation to some of the country’s leading cultural and digital events.
