Añobres is a tribute to Delfina de Añobres, a woman whose traditional verses were collected by Dorothé Schubarth in 1979 for the Cancioneiro Galego de Tradición Oral (Galician Songbook of Oral Tradition). The music video was filmed in Delfina’s birthplace, in Añobres (Muxía), and features the participation of her relatives as well as the members of Alana: Antía Vázquez, Eloy Vidal and Pablo Castro.
Alana is a musical project that blends traditional Galician music with electronic and pop rhythms, recovering the essence of collected folk songs and giving them a new sonic life. Their proposal stands out for its innovation while maintaining a strong connection to Galicia’s cultural heritage.
