The international expansion of Bibopalula takes another step forward. The preschool series created by Laura Mahía and Andrés Mahía and produced by Undodez in co-production with Televisión de Galicia will be distributed worldwide by Digitoonz Spain, the European subsidiary of the Indian studio Digitoonz Media & Entertainment, a company with extensive experience in the international children’s content market.
The agreement, announced ahead of the MIFA 2025 animation market, strengthens the international presence of Bibopalula and opens new doors for Galician animation in the global landscape. The series, consisting of 55 five-minute episodes, follows the adventures of the Forest Band, a group of four little birds who discover the value of friendship, empathy, and respect for nature through music. Each episode ends with an original song, reinforcing its educational and musical nature.
International distribution will be part of the company’s global strategy, which aims to promote content with local identity and international reach. The production company highlights Bibopalula as a fresh, inclusive, and musical proposal, capable of connecting with young audiences across different languages and platforms, establishing it as a key asset within its international slate.
The agreement reinforces Bibopalula’s position as a distinctive preschool property, highlighting its combination of humour, emotion, and environmental education, as well as its potential to reach new markets through public broadcasters, educational spaces, and digital platforms worldwide.
Premiered in November 2024 on Xabarín.gal, the children’s platform of TVG, Bibopalula is the first Galician-language musical animated series. Since then, it has developed a transmedia universe that includes a children’s book, live performances, and a presence on digital platforms such as Spotify and YouTube. This agreement with Digitoonz marks a new milestone in the project’s international expansion and reaffirms Undodez’s commitment to promoting Galician animation abroad.
