The Celtic Media Festival, one of the most important events in the European audiovisual industry, announced yesterday the nominees for its annual awards honouring the best radio and television productions from Celtic nations and regions. Two Undodez projects, the series Na Gloria and the programme Recollendo Músicas, are among the finalists.
Na Gloria, the comedy created by Xosé A. Touriñán, Xosé Castro and Andrés Mahía that launched Televisión de Galicia’s digital content platform, AGalega.gal, is nominated in the Drama Series category. It will compete against An Clò Mòr (BBC Alba), Beyond Paradise (BBC One), Crá (TG4), Float (BBC Scotland iPlayer), Lost Boys and Fairies (BBC1 Wales) and The Boy That Never Was (RTÉ One).
Meanwhile, Recollendo Músicas, directed by Saúl Rivas and Borja Casal, is shortlisted in the Arts category, competing against Ceòl-Sìth (BBC Alba), Inis Meáin: Idir Dhá Linn (TG4), Kerdroya and the Cornish Hedge, Siân Phillips at 90 (BBC1 Wales), Ó Bhéal (TG4) and The Geneva Window – Through a Glass Darkly (Oireachtas TV).
The awards ceremony will take place on 5 June in Newquay (Cornwall), as part of the festival’s 46th edition.
