International production company Animotion Media and Undodez Producións announce an agreement to bring the music of Bibopalula, the first musical animated series in Galician, to digital platforms worldwide.
Created by Laura Mahía and Andrés Mahía and co-produced by Televisión de Galicia, Bibopalula continues its international expansion with the global distribution of its soundtrack. The agreement, signed with Animotion Media, will make the series’ original tracks (composed by Santi Jul and Iván Laxe) available on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and YouTube Music, expanding the reach of a project that combines nature, friendship and learning through music.
The series, aimed at the youngest viewers, follows the adventures of the Forest Band: Pegui the magpie, Merli the blackbird, Robin the robin, and Carpin the woodpecker—four little birds who discover nature together and make music together. With five-minute episodes, Bibopalula has become a benchmark for family content in Galician and has even inspired a stage show that has toured venues across Galicia.
According to Animotion Media, Bibopalula represents “an example of creativity and quality in children’s musical content,” and its catalogue will help strengthen the presence of original productions in the global family music offering. The first international release is the single “A Poza,” already available on major digital platforms.
With this agreement, Bibopalula continues to consolidate its presence beyond Galicia, strengthening the international profile of Galician animation and musical creation.
