“A celebration, but in the sense of community, of sharing”, this is how Claudia and Marina from Abril described their understanding of traditional music. And that was precisely how we chose to present this first season of Recollendo Músicas: through a gathering that brought together the artists featured in the programme, the technical team and everyone else involved in the project.
Representing Televisión de Galicia was Fernando Ojea, Head of Content at CRTVG, who encouraged those attending to explore the cultural and entertainment content available on AGalega while also stressing the importance of the work carried out by artists who keep our music alive.
Saúl Rivas and Borja Casal, directors of the project, both took the opportunity to thank and recognise the participants of this first season for their work, while also underlining the importance of sharing and promoting our music through public media. Attendees enjoyed an exclusive preview of the entire season, along with a very special musical session by Dúo Cro-Cró.
In Recollendo Músicas, we explore the work of different bands and artists who, drawing from traditional music, have developed musical projects ranging from folk to pop, including electronic music, psychedelia and dance music. It is a short-format production designed for multi-device viewing, in which music takes centre stage.
This first season features the work of Belém Tajes, Comando Curuxás, Alana, Nebra, Breo, Lontreira, Moura, Abril, Carme López and Carabela. Episodes are available on AGalega.gal and on apps for iOS, Android and smart TVs. You can also find all the information, access the content and listen to the music featured in the programme at recollendomusicas.gal
