After its theatrical release in September, the feature film starring Marta Hazas, Mauricio Ochmann, and Javier Veiga arrives on streaming platforms. Veiga’s first film as a director will be available from this Wednesday on Amazon Prime Video. The actor and director from O Grove previously achieved major success on the platform with Pequeñas coincidencias, a Prime Video original series he also co-stars in alongside Marta Hazas.

Amigos hasta la muerte tells the story of María, Nacho, and Suso, three friends who must come to terms with one of them being diagnosed with a serious illness. From that moment on, the trio is forced to reassess their priorities and address unresolved issues in their friendship: plans, reconciliations, promises… and even a few secrets.

The cities of Ourense and Santiago de Compostela, O Grove, and various locations along the Camino de Santiago were chosen as filming locations for the movie, co-produced by Medio Limón and Undodez. The international perspective is provided by Mexican production company Onírica Films, the country of origin of one of its actors, Mauricio Ochmann. Amigos hasta la muerte premiered in August on Prime Video Latin America, ranking among the platform’s top ten most-watched films.

The film features Luna Gallego, Nacho Nugo, and Óscar Allo, who portray the three protagonists in their youth. The cast also includes Xosé A. Touriñán, David Amor, Ledicia Sola, and Xoel López, who composed the original song “Eco” for the film.
