The documentary To the rhythm of the new regueifa, produced by Undodez, will take part in the programme of the 7th Galician Film Week, which will be held in A Coruña from 7 to 10 April. The screening will take place on 9 April at 9:00 pm at the Domus, as part of one of the most important events in the Galician audiovisual calendar.

Organised by the Galician Academy of Audiovisual Arts, the Galician Film Week serves as a platform for showcasing and gathering around some of the most recent and acclaimed productions in Galician cinema. Over four days, audiences will be able to discover a selection of eight films reflecting the creative diversity of the sector, ranging from fiction to documentary. The programme opens on 7 April at Teatro Colón with Sirat and As liñas descontinuas, continues on 8 April with San Simón and Antes de Nós, and moves to the Domus on 9 April with Deuses de Pedra and To the rhythm of the new regueifa. The cycle will close on 10 April with O Silencio Herdado and 360 Curvas.

Within this context, To the rhythm of the new regueifa continues its public journey following its premiere at Culturgal and subsequent screenings across different parts of the country. Directed by Manolo Maseda and Saúl Rivas, the film proposes an audiovisual journey through the present-day reality of regueifa, a form of oral improvisation currently experiencing a process of revitalisation and transformation.

Through a route stretching from Bergantiños to Vigo, the documentary builds a collective narrative in which voices, generations and territories coexist. Regueifa performers open the doors to their world, revealing an art form that moves between tradition and contemporaneity, rural and urban spaces, inherited learning and new educational environments.

The film focuses on the collective dimension of regueifa, understood as a creative, social and identity-building tool. Through testimonies, music and improvised verse, the documentary offers a vivid portrait of a practice that continues to evolve thanks to the community that sustains it.

Its inclusion in the Galician Film Week represents a new opportunity to continue sharing this project with audiences, within a context that celebrates the talent and the ability of Galician audiovisual creation to tell stories deeply connected to our cultural reality.
