Origen is a gastronomic documentary program produced by Interpool Media for RTVE that travels back to the source of the product. Throughout eight monographic episodes, we learn in depth how Spanish gastronomic treasures such as Iberian ham, white shrimp, suckling lamb, truffle, artichoke, spider crab, elver, and deer are cultivated, raised, produced, and consumed.
Producers, chefs, and other professionals become educators and ambassadors for the product they represent and for their own land. Their authoritative voices narrate the processes a product undergoes from its origin to its consumption. No one knows the raw material better than those who can best explain it.
