Undodez received recognition at the 24th edition of the Mestre Mateo Awards for its work in the web series and advertising categories, reaffirming its presence at one of the major events in the Galician audiovisual industry. The 24th edition of the Mestre Mateo Awards, organised by the Galician Academy of Audiovisual Arts, brought two recognitions for Undodez. The web series Bechos was awarded Best Web Series, while Ao noroeste do oeste received the prize for Best Advertising Spot, during a ceremony that once again brought together the Galician audiovisual sector.

In the case of Bechos, the award marks another step in the journey of a children’s animated series committed to producing Galician-language content for early childhood audiences. Produced for Televisión de Galicia, the series creates a familiar and recognisable universe combining simple stories with values such as friendship, respect for the environment and curiosity about the world.

Meanwhile, Ao noroeste do oeste, created in collaboration with Medio Limón, was recognised as Best Advertising Spot. Produced to promote the city of A Coruña, the piece offers a distinctive perspective on the territory, combining identity with a narrative that, through humour, defends the idea that nobody is a stranger in an open and welcoming city.

The ceremony also featured especially emotional moments, including tributes to audiovisual professionals and the presentation of the Honorary Award to Rosa Moledo, in a night that highlighted the collective commitment to Galician audiovisual creation and its language.

In an edition marked by the strength of productions such as Sirāt, by Oliver Laxe, and Antes de nós, by Ángeles Huerta, which concentrated many of the awards, the ceremony once again demonstrated the diversity and maturity of a sector in constant evolution.

Undodez attended this year’s edition with seven nominations, represented in categories including documentary, with To the Rhythm of the New Regueifa; television series and original music, with Bibopalula; web series, with Pipo and the winning Bechos; and advertising, with Historia que nos impulsa as well as the award-winning Ao noroeste do oeste. A representation that reflects the diversity of formats and audiences the production company works with.

The two awards received are part of a broader context in which Galician audiovisual production continues to grow through collaboration, creativity and commitment to local culture. For Undodez, these recognitions are also a way of celebrating belonging to a sector that continues to build narrative, identity and culture from Galicia.
